Event news - Sister Souljah

I received an email earlier this week from Jacque, the Books-A-Million lady. Her email brought exciting news. Author, rapper and activist Sister Souljah is coming to the Northwoods store on Wednesday, April 13.

Sister Souljah's most famous book is The Coldest Winter Ever. Her new book, Midnight and the Meaning of Love, will be released the day before she comes to Charleston. This is the sequel to her long-awaited book, Midnight: A Gangster Love Story.

I have a confession: I have never read any of her books. But to get a chance to meet a New York Times best-selling author and a hip-hop legend is exciting.

So I will be going to this event and have pictures for you next week. And I think it is a good time to start reading her books.

  1. **gasp** You've never read a Sister Souljah book? She drops bits of knowledge within fiction. Check my blog for reviews on all of her books, including the new release.
